Team News

- Michel Vorm, Nigel de Jong, Luciano Narsingh and Erik Pieters are all out for the Netherlands.

- Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael Van der Vaart, Maarten Stekelenburg and Johny Heitinga were all omitted from the squad.

- Claudio Marchisio, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Balzaretti, Christian Maggio and Sebastian Giovinco are all out for Italy.

Analysis

- Netherlands has given Louis Van Gaal a second chance to succeed as head coach of the Dutch national side.
He has done a great job with the team so far.
He has introduced young players into an aging side and has overseen some fantastic performances.

- Italy will present a tough test for his side nonetheless. Italy has developed under Cesare Prandelli. They have played attacking football under Prandelli. Overall, due to the way these two sides play, this match should be a highly entertaining affair.
