Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho has revealed he wanted to join Real Madrid in the summer.
"The decision of not going to play in Spain was not mine," the former Porto defender told Marca. "The problem was that Real Madrid did not reach an agreement with Porto."
The agent of Santos star Robinho has revealed he is "very close to signing for Real Madrid".
The Brazil international is expected to put pen to paper over an agreement to join Real next season.
