December 17th, 2007 - Home for the Holidays
Hey everyone!
We are so happy to home and getting ready for Christmas as we've had quite the schedule lately. We were in Lake Placid, N.Y for Stars on Ice rehearsals as I mentioned in Nov. and then we were in San Fransisco, CA for Brian Boitano's show beginning of Dec (Dave did it by himself) and then we did our t.v xmas show in Kelowna, B.C and another show in Cranbrook, B.C. the week after Brian's. We choreographed our 2 Stars #'s all last week with David Wilson so we are so exhausted now and feel like we could really use a nice break already. (We are skating to Justin Timberlake's "Lovestoned", and Josh Groban's "Thankful" this year.)
We had Jesse with us the whole trip and he travelled better than us, sleeping, eating and being held all the time by everyone. Life is good for little Jesse
He was even in the finale of our xmas show, Steven Cousin's brought him out after we skated for the finale which was really just a bow but he was so cute and just had bubbles coming out of his mouth and stared at the lights. In Cranbrook for our 2nd show apparently he was fussing before Steven stepped on the ice with him but once he did Jesse stopped immediately. He's a true performer!
We are home for Christmas and New Years which will be nice as we have a fairly busy schedule from Jan-March. We are going to both US and Canadian Nationals for the whole time (I also have a Jr. lady competing at Can Nat.). We're supposed to be doing a show at US nat. like Olympic Ice and in Vancouver we'll skating in the gala and hopefully commentating for the pairs, not sure yet.
Then we go on tour from Feb 15th (Bakersfield, CA)-March 22nd and of course the Canadian tour in April-May.
So that's all I've got for you for now. Don't forget to check our xmas show on t.v Tuesday, Dec 18th on CBC (I have no idea what time sorry). Happy Holidays to everyone, be safe and enjoy your time off, hopefully. Take care,
Jamie

November 29th, 2007 - I'm 2 months now! (baby Jesse)
Hey Everyone!
It's been a fun and busy 2 months for us and Jesse and believe it or not he's STILL being a good boy, even after all of our travels. We flew to Quebec City for Skate Canada, as most of you already know, to commentate and be honorary chairs for Skate Canada and then we went to Dave's home town of Sayabec,Qc for 3 days of rest and visiting and then we were in Lake Placid for Stars on Ice rehearsals for a week. Thankfully we had Grandma (Dave's Mom for that trip) with us to help because we were fairly busy learning steps and getting back to training for our up coming shows.
Jesse was a trooper and never cried or really fussed on any of the flights, he slept mostly and when he was awake he stared at the lights or ate.
He's a joy to travel with and he's our little buddy, LOVE HIM! We know we won't have a problem with him on tour. We are doing 20 of the US shows and the whole Canadian tour and he's coming for the whole thing and we're bringing a Grandma for help so we're pretty fortunate.
We are getting ready for our xmas shows in Kelowna and Cranbrook, B.C next week but Dave (by himself) is doing Brian Boitano's show next Wed. first and Jesse and I get go and watch. It's a bit weird for me but I'm going to enjoy it and I'll actually get to watch a WHOLE show from an audiences' perspective. FUN!
After the New Year we'll be heading to Nationals (maybe both Canadian and US) and then we start the US leg of the tour on Feb 15th in Bakersfield, CA. We'll be doing 20 in a row and then Illa Kulik will be doing the other 20.
It means that we are in the opening for a bit, the closing, Dave's in the # with Sasha and of course our own numbers and that's it for the US tour but we'll be in the end of act 1's group # in Canada.
There, you're all filled in now on what's happening with us in the next 6 months.
If you're interested Jesse now weighs a whoppin' 14.5 lbs and has grown 3 inches. He doubled his weight in 6 weeks (YIKES!) so he's growing nicely!
The good news for us is he's been sleeping through the night since Dave's B-day (Nov.22nd) so we're actually getting some good sleep ourselves now. He was always pretty good in the night from day 1 giving us 4 hrs between every feeding but now he's out cold from 11pm- around 7am give or take an hr. For those Mom's and Dad's out there you can sure appreciate that.
It's been the greatest gift ever having him here and we're extremely grateful and thankful to be able to have had him.
O.k, so that's it for now but we'll post again soon to give our holiday wishes. Can you believe it's already almost Christmas? YIKES! Where does the time go? I guess it flies by when you're having fun.
Take care and be well,
Jamie
