<p><strong>Der Südafrikaner Giniel De Villiers (Foto) und sein Karlshofer Beifahrer Dirk von Zitzewitz haben im VW Touareg auf der 8. Etappe der Rallye Dakar ihre Führung ausgebaut. </strong>Nach 589 Kilometern von Atar nach Tichit in Mauretanien vergrößerten sie mit ihrem dritten Tagessieg den Vorsprung auf 31:13 Minuten zu ihrem neuen Verfolger Stéphane Peterhansel aus Frankreich im Mitsubishi Pajero. Der bisherige Zweite, Carlos Sainz aus Spanien, fiel wegen einer defekten Servolenkung an seinem Touareg auf den vierten Platz (Rückstand: 1:05:51 Stunden) hinter dem französischen Mitsubishi-Vorjahressieger Luc Alphand (Rückstand: 43:04 Minuten) zurück.</p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
