The draw for 2019 Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Groups I and II will take place on 6 February at the ITF headquarters in London.
The draw, which will be streamed live on DavisCup.com, will decide the 12 Group I ties to be played in September as well as the 12 Group II ties, which can be played in either April or September.
Once the 12 Qualifier ties have been decided on 1-2 February, the losing nations will be allocated to Group I or Group II depending on their Davis Cup Nations Ranking.
Both Groups I and II will be made up of six Europe/Africa ties, three Americas ties and three Asia/Oceania ties.
The highest-ranked nations in each Group will be seeded - ie the six highest-ranked nations in Europe/Africa, three in Americas and three in Asia/Oceania.
The winners of the Group I ties in September will earn a place in the 2020 Davis Cup Qualifiers, while the remaining nations in Groups I and II will be allocated a place within their region depending on their position in the Nations Ranking.
