Thank you Sri Ea for all vids !!!

Vault Finale is over...Chelaru won...she has also a new vault and she was very very happy she hit it.
I´m very impressed by Diana Rusu. She has a great form and much power. Iordache do a 1,5 yurchenko, but with bend knees
I wonder what is the D score for the fhs with tucked full? 5.7? Diana was thrilled, too bad she didn't entertain us with her special 2005 little dance!
Agreed about Rusu, she looks like a potential future great vaulter for Romania.
Why isn't she in the Junior euro team?
Some vids from yesterday...

i was wonder too about the d score from 5.7, it is right ??
I'm confused now. I would swear I have seen Diana perform a fhs tucked full that should give her only a 5.3 D score. Yet she flashed a 2.13 on the board behind her which should be a 5.7 vault as it should have been a fhs with 1 1/2 twist.
I think that if she scored 14.300 it would be on the first vault (which is 2.12 in the code, I have just checked) as she would score higher with a 5.7 D score in Romania I think.
BTW, any news from Claudia Voicu from the members who could attend? I'm very anxious!
Hi Shagya - how are you? Hi Sri Ea - how are you? Thanks Sri Ea for all the videos. I am going to surf youtube today to see more such as the UB routine from Raluca Haidu unless you have this and can post. I think the girls did an amazing job and Raluca is looking amazing - i have to say she is looking to be a world AA champion. Do you also have her vault (DTY) that you can post on here??
Congratulations to Diana C for winning vault (i figured she would win vault). Who was 2nd and 3rd? Maria Balea has improved so much on UB which is great and I agree with Diana Rusu - why isn't she in the Euros team. One last question before I drive you insane.... do you have any footage of Madalina Neagu who I have been dying to see compete .
Thanks so much.
Serena, in Maria Balea's FX (posted by Sri EA) at 0:42 you can see Raluca's vault in the background.
Also, Sandra's demo is here: http://www.youtube.com/user/catastoian#p/u along other routine (taped and posted in the Romanian section by Catalin_Nick).
I am sure, there will be more vids, once the "forum gang" returns from Bucuresti. I can not wait for their stories, vids, pictures! Just be patient.
Hi Tess
Thank you so much . I will wait and be patient and drink some wine to toast to Romania's bright future in gymnastics. So much surprises from what I saw of the videos, so many people looking at juniors in a new light and saying WOW as well as seniors looking in great shape with new routines, upgrades . Raluca Haidu I knew had the potential to be something AMAZING and LOOK at her. AA CHAMPION.
I will wait for videos with bottle of wine (or 2 bottles by the time they come back from Bucharest).
Thanks...... te pup.
it's 2.13, so everything was right.which is 2.12 in the code, I have just checked
Yes ooops, I was checking the 2007 code hence my mistake. (Actually I haven't downloaded the latest version of the code...)
Thanks for the bit about Claudia Voicu, I'm actually quite worried that her injury could be more serious than it was originally stated (since it was in the knee.) I would love to know if she's been training yet and at which rate.
Interview with Amalia Racea:
- Amalia, you cried after floor. You fell on floor but won the beam. How do you think about your day?
- For beam, I can do better than that, and for floor, at Europeans I'll do my job as I know to do it better, maybe be in the podium.
- Why did you cry? Were you upset?
- Yes, I was upset, because I should have performed better
- you are still young, this is your first year as a senior. You still have time to grow from a competition to another
- Yes, I'll get more experience
- Do you have emotions for europeans?
- Yes, I have some, but they might help
Interview with Raluca Haidu:
- Raluca, you too competed well these days. You've been present on the finals. Are you nervous before Europeans?
- Yes, but I hope my emotions will be constructive
- Is Cerasela giving you courage? I see her around you all the time, she yelled at you during finals
- Yes, she helps me much with her presence and constant encouragements
- Where do you hope to be successful at europeans?
- I hope in all events. But I have higher hopes for floor, beam, even bars
Interview with Cerasel Patrascu:
- Cerasela, after 2 years away because of an injury, you are back now. I don't think it was easy for you to come back
- Of course it wasn't easy, and I'm not really back to my full strength, as I wish to be. But right now I'm very pleased I can help my girls
- What, they are your girls?
- Oh, yes, they are mine. I have a little more experience than they do and I can encourage them to do their jobs
- You are only 1 year older than them. Does that 1 year matter?
- It matters a lot, especially that I know the coaches from a longer time, and I know how to talk to them and convince them when the girls need something and I also can help them make the girls progress faster
- So you practically are an intermediary between the coaches and the girls, being so close to their age.
- Yes, you can say so. Usually when mister Forminte wants something from the girls, he talks to me first and then I talk to them
- Do you still have problems with your elbow?
- No, I did not have such problems. I mean yes, I had in 2007, but those are old and healed
- When will you be at full strength and with that tonus you had several years ago?
- I can't tell you exactly. I hope as soon as possible, and I really hope to be able to comeback on 4 events
Interview with Nicolae Forminte:
- Mister Forminte, the girls did good today. Are you content? Yes, I know, the same question as yesterday, but, can't you say for once that you are content?
- No, I'll say I'm content after I'm retired and gone fishing. What can I say is that the girls finished the 3rd verification before the europeans, first 2 being friendly meets in Great Britain and France and the girls performed better each time. The primary objective for this 3rd step was to improve in vault and I am glad they fulfilled this objective
- At beam, we had the gold shared by Ana Porgras and Amelia Racea
- Yes, I'm glad it happened that way, because Ana had higher difficulty, but Ama had better execution, and they both can get some encouragement from this success
- Amelia said she'll have revenge at europeans for the not so well floor exercise from today
- Ama is going through a difficult period right now. We are trying to solve this weakness of her, a physical weakness. We are still looking for the causes of this weakness, we did some medical analysis..
- Can be because she had measles?
- Can be, maybe she is also tired. Anyway, we are working with her to improve her strength, so that at the europeans she'll be in better shape
- You nominated 5 girls for the europeans. Can be made changes in the team before the contest?
- I really hope there will be no event happening that will cause us to replace one of the 5 girls.
- There are 2 wonderful junior girls, Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar. I think you can hardly wait for them to come into the senior team
- I have seen many other wonderful juniors previously. I wait for them to grow and continue to prepare in the same rhythm and do the same elements. When you grow and your body changes your performance can change too. But I really like both girls and really hope for them to continue their performances when they will be seniors
- You said yesterday about Diana Chelaru that she is capable to reach 2 finals, vaults and floor. And she had some very good performances at these 2 events
- I only said we are preparing her for these 2 finals. I hope she will reach them. And more that that, I hope she will do her exercises well, so she won't reach the finals for nothing
- So you want medals from her
- I only want her to do her job. If will be with or without medal is a different matter. The first request I have from the girls is to present in the contest the exercise at least as well as they are present it in the training.
- Diana obtained 2 victories today
- Yes, Diana obtained 2 victories with herself today. At europeans she'll have to be victorious over her competitors as well.
- This will only be is she'll handle her emotions...
- Of course, this is necessary. This is the order for a gymnast: First defeat yourself, then the apparatuses, then the competitors.

It is the fight alone that pleases us, not the victory.
I wanted to toast to a great competition , my highlights from watching the videos I see online are
Larisa Iordache UB - WOW WOW WOW.. I can't believe this is Iordache upgrades again on UB. So impressive.
Diana Chelaru VT - WOW , great new 2nd vault. I am so happy for her.
Amelia Racea BB - a fair tie for 1st place, i really hope she gets back her strength and energy to be the champion I know she is.
Raluca Haidu - much deserved AA gold medal but especially her UB - she finally nailed and beat her nemesis (UB)
Diana Bulimar - she has so much potential and is very clean in form. I am happy she is doing so well
Ana Porgras - still lovely to watch, many congratulations on her succesful UB win (good for Ana)
Cerasela Patrascu - nearly every video I have seen, Cerasela is cheering ALL the girls. I feel she is so much a leader for the girls and an inspiration for all gymnasts to come back after injury. I never saw her UB but sure someone will soon post it, but she looks amazing and I am glad she is going to be on Europeans team.
Much impressed with Juniors - happy there is progress on vault. Happy happy happy that Romania will give everyone a BIG challenge at Europeans.
Congratulations to MAG and WAG winners and good luck for Europeans.
Like Shagya - when I start talking about the team that I consider mine.. I talk about Romania as I am from Romania (my team) example "our girls are good on vault" and MY team is going to win (Romania).
Thanks all for your information and videos/links... Go Romania and good luck for Europeans

Thanks a lot for the very interesting translation, vlad!
After watching Rom Int, Patrascu is still the 4th -5th scorer of the team on the 3 events she competes. But in the interview of the girls, it appears that she is actually the "leader" of the team. She's a bit like their "mamma", their coach and is the one who makes the link between Forminte and the girls like an assistant. I think that even if she doesn't help the team with scores at Euros, she can help and support them psychologically and that's why she has a key role in the team.
Racea is going through a difficult period, she's tired and maybe there are some other unspoken issues? I think I wouldn't risk to use her on FX in her current state. My line up then would be Chelaru, Porgras and Haidu.
Vault is already known (the 3 DTYs) if the girls stay injury free.
Also in my line-up, Haidu -whom I love- would be used on the 4 events and that's a big risk. If she blows her first event, she could be capable of blowing the 4 of them.
Now it is a hard call for UB or BB to use Racea or Chelaru since they are both very inconsistent on these events. I'd rather see Amelia on both apparatus but she seems so unwell!
Still unless disaster strikes, Russia has clearly the edge over Romania on the paper thanks to their superiority on bars. It's a pity Romania doesn't have a bigger D score on bars. They would need something like 3 6.1 to 6.5 D scores performed consistently.

Yes, you are right. We need D's in the 6... area in order to be able to beat the Russians. The grirls have some upgrading plans I think but I am afraid they won't be ready for Euro's. Racea was trying to connect a stalder 11/2 with her Jaeger..this would mean a lot for her D score..but as I saw she was very inconsistent with it.

I'll also take some time to put all the links with videos and photos also here, but it will take a couple of days. (I need to first also watch the competition, since I've been away this weekend)

Could someone tell why Anamaria Baicu was not at the competition? She's officially on the euro team and still she was the only girl of the team absent?
Million thanks to all the guys who got to record all the home videos that covered the routines that were not broadcasted!
Just noticed that Balea actually has a Tsuk full as VT1. It is a 5.2 D score (I think as I still read my 2007 COP) but with form issues, I think that Rusu would easily outscore her with her immaculate FTY.
Anyway the junior format is 5-5-3, I am confused about the 5 girls who will vault when the only 3 girls with a decent D score are Iordache, Bulimar, Balea. AFAIK this year Baicu has only been competing vault with 4.00 D scores and Neagu can't vault at the moment. Will she just touch the vault table and score 0?
