Sixth-seeded Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia lost in the first round of the Open de Moselle on Tuesday, beaten by Cyril Saulnier of France 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Third-seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Mardy Fish of the United States advanced in the indoor tournament. Djokovic beat Nicolas Mahut of France 6-2, 6-3, and Fish downed Thierry Ascione of France 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
