Third-seeded Maria Kirilenko of Russia was ousted from the Japan Open on Monday, losing to Akiko Morigami of Japan 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (3). Kirilenko has lost 11 of her last 15 matches. In the only other match featuring a seeded player, Marta Domachowska of Poland eliminated fifth-seeded Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1).
