Nu e o replica atat de "dementiala" dar e funny. Hakkinen povesteste intr-un interviu, dat astazi pentru Autoweek, despre depasirea de la Spa, cand el si Schumacher l-au inconjurat pe Zonta.

AW: Was Eau Rouge as scary as we imagine it?

Hakkinen: Not anymore. It used to be. It was just flat, maximum speed. The g forces were very high. Also vertically. Everything was maximum. So you really need big balls. I remember one year I was racing there, I had a tough race with Michael Schumacher. I was second, he was leading and there was not so many laps to go. The gap to Michael was a couple seconds. The only place to really catch him was after Eau Rouge at the end of the long straight and the braking there. So the thing was to go flat through Eau Rouge, but the problem was I had done already the whole race, so the tires were quite finished and the whole suspension was already quite knackered. I had to do it flat and I was like, Jesus, it was really amazing. But I went flat and I made it.


AW: You went past a slower car, too.

Hakkinen: Oh, yeah, that was amazing, and really high speed. We're going, like, 300 kilometers, for sure. Zonta was middle of the track. I said, "That's it, this is the chance for me." I thought, if Michael goes left, then I will go right, or vice versa. But of course, I didn't know in the first place what he was going to do and I didn't know what Zonta was going to do. Is he gonna change the line? Because if he changes the line, I'm coming about 300 and he's going less by a hundred ks and it's going to be a big mess. I wonder if he saw us coming so bloody quick.
