Kevin is not recovering as fast as he expected. So probably his revalidation will take a little longer than the 3 months first expected. hope he keeps his spirits up...
He also announced that olympics in Vancouver will be his last skating competition...
asta era clar ca dupa vancouver nu va mai patina. dar sper sa se refaca si sa poata avea un program deosebit la olys!!!

asa tineri sa renunte ?!?
pai kevin nu e chiar tinerel pt un patinator. in 2010 0 sa aiba 28 de ani daca calculele mele sunt corecte. plus problemele de sanatate care il macina de ceva vreme. nu a putut participa anul trecut la mondiale din cauza sanatatii. anul asta se opereaza. cred ca e cam mult pt un om.
plus el l-a mondiale era cam sceptic. medicii i-au zis ca s-ar putea sa nu mai poata patina. si expresia lui a fost ca a vrut sa aiba un program extraordinar la worlds in caz ca va fi ultima lui aparitie la amatori.

da, dar joubert si lambiel sint mai tineri. si nu inteleg care e faza cu operatiile. multi sportivi se tot opereaza. ce se intampla ? se intind prea mult ? cad si isi rup ceva ? a devenit sportul in sine prea periculos pentru el insusi ? in mod normal sportul e generator de sanatate, nu de operatii.
e normal sa isi rupa si sa se opereze. deja performantele sunt ridicate la cate sarituri se chinuie sa faca. partea tehnica e atat de dura incat se pare ca provoaca operatii sportivilor. isi fractureaza oasele la sariturile pe care le fac, e normal. mai ales ca deja cu duble nu mai faci nimic si toti dupa ce ca se chinuie cu triple si cvadruple, deja vor sa le faca si in combinatie. e un stereotip sa zici ca patinajul e un sport atat de gratios, dar mult mai dificil si inimaginabil de dificil de practicat, dar chiar asa este
Dar am inteles ca multe din aceste operatii nu intervin ca urmare a socurilor cu gheata din timpul cazaturilor, ci ca urmare a repetatelor intinderi/luxari/rotatii ale articulatiilor, oaselor, ligamentelor, etc. din timpul antrenamentelor.
sportul de performanta nu a fost niciodata sursa de sanatate. sau poate a trecut atat de mult timp de cand afirmatia nu mai e valabila ca nici nu mai imi aduc aminte.
in caz ca sportul in sine nu duce la probleme de sanatate, atunci dorinta de a depasi limitele ii face pe unii sportivi sa apeleze la remedii ilegale. uff, sportul de performanta e ceva ce nu as sfatui pe nimeni sa faca. ups...

ca sa faci o saritura tripla sau cvadrupla, iti trebuie avant puternic. cand isi iau avantul, de imping cu patina gheata (in cazul toeloopului de ex) poate fac intindere musculara. sau cand alearga pe gheata poate isi luxeaza piciorul. sunt destule explicatii pentru astea, e normal sa se intample accidente, ca si la gimnastica, si la tenis etc
m-am mai uitat o data la lpul lui kevin de la mondiale de anul asta. wow!!! de cate ori ma uit e tot wow!!! atat viata si energie!!
ar fi f nedrept sa nu mai poata reveni.
