In der Zweitliga-Partie zwischen Rot-Weiss Essen und dem FC Hansa Rostock am 30. April hatten Chaoten im Fan-Block der Rostocker ein riesiges Feuer gelegt. Die Ermittlungsergebnisse wurden laut Hemmelmann an die Essener Staatsanwaltschaft übergeben.
