    NBA History Favourites

    Dupa cum va dati seama din titlu descrieti aici momente favorite din istoria NBA, fara off-topic!!!

    1995-96 Chicago Bulls Won 72 / Lost 10 (.878)
    Featuring Superman (Michael Jordan), Batman (Scottie Pippen) and Rodman (Dennis Rodman), Bulls shattered record for most wins in a regular season...Won 87 of 100 games, including the playoffs...Ron Harper, Luc Longley, Toni Kukoc and Steve Kerr rounded out core of driven team that featured triangle offense...Started season an amazing 41-3...Jordan's first full season since returning from retirement.

    in afara de orice meci cu bulls cind juca jordan la ei (astea "e" incluse )

    finala din 95 dintre rockets si magic
    prima finala vazuta live, rockets au fost incredibili. hakeem took shaq to school.

    seria din 96 sau 97 (daca tin bine minte) dintre heat si knicks, in care heat au revenit de la 3-1 si au cistigat. a fost o serie excelenta, cu de toate. 2 pivoti buni (zo si ewing) care si-au carat echipele. amindoi au avut destul ajutor. heat cu hardaway (pacat ca s-a accidentat la genunchi, altfel poate ar fi jucat mai multi ani), marjerle, mashburn, pj brown si isaac austin si knicks cu starks, allan houston, mason (parca - daca nu mason, atunci larry johnson), oakley, charlie ward ....

    1994-95: Magic Stake Claim To "Beast Of East" Mantle
    In only their sixth season in the league, the Orlando Magic posted the best record in the Eastern Conference (57-25), won the Atlantic Division, defeated the Boston Celtics, the Chicago Bulls, and the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs, and then advanced to the NBA Finals.

    Although the Magic were crushed by the Houston Rockets in a four-game NBA Finals sweep, the loss in no way diminished the accomplishments of the young squad. By winning consistently in the regular season and prevailing in tough playoff matches, the Magic had served notice that they could be an NBA power for years.

    Shaquille O'Neal and Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway gave the team a young, talented, and enviable nucleus. O'Neal, in his third year in the NBA, ranked first in the league in scoring (29.3 ppg), third in rebounding (11.4 rpg), second in field goal percentage (.583), and sixth in blocked shots (2.43 per game).

    In the NBA Finals, O'Neal for the most part evenly battled the more seasoned Hakeem Olajuwon. (Olajuwon, the NBA Finals MVP, had gotten the best of league MVP David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Finals.)

    Hardaway evolved into a star in his own right in his second NBA season. He averaged 20.9 points and 7.2 assists, started in the All-Star Game, and was named to the All-NBA First Team. O'Neal also started in the All-Star Game and earned a spot on the All-NBA Second Team. In the NBA Finals, Hardaway averaged 25.5 points and 8.0 assists and shot .500 from the field, including .458 from three-point range.

    While Orlando's two young stars figured prominently in the team's success, the key for the Magic in 1994-95 was the offseason acquisition of Horace Grant. An All-Star forward with a penchant for winning, Grant came to Orlando as a free agent, toting the three championship rings he had won as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

    Grant's toughness and veteran leadership, not to mention his rebounding (9.7 rpg) and field goal percentage (.567), proved crucial to the young team. At season's end he earned his third straight selection to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

    la numai 20 de zile de la revenirea sa pe teren in 1995... dupa un an jumate de baseball si alte activitati... MJ "pune" 55 in Madison Square Garden... inchizand gura tuturor celor care credeau ca MJ it was not the same... chiar daca Bulls aveau sa piarda semifinala cu Orlando in mare parte din vina lui (prea multe turnovers si procentaj destul de slab)... desi a avut in seria aia 3 meciuri peste 38 de puncte... ceea ce a urmat se stie

    in acelasi timp cea mai frumoasa finala EVER(pe care am vazut-o)...

    Mda, am uitat sa zic, dar per total a fost un meci super in care am crezut pana la final ca Toronto va avea sanse sa se califice. Cine ar fi stiut ca meciul respectiv va fi ultimul in care Raptors va ajunge atat de departe in playoffs. Cine stie, poate anul asta sa ajungem in playoffs mai departe, dar e greu de crezut.
