Sam Querrey of the United States won his first ATP-level match on clay when he beat Luis Horna of Peru 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the first round of the Estoril Open on Sunday. Russia's Igor Kunitsyn defeated local wild-card Pedro Sousa 6-1, 6-1 in the day's only other main-draw match of the joint ATP-WTA Tour event.
