Profi Eschauer bestätigt Wett-Mafia

<p><strong>Der Österreicher Werner Eschauer hat die Existenz einer Wettmafia im Tennis bestätigt.</strong> Die Nummer 67 der Weltrangliste sagte dem Magazin SPORT BILD: ,,Wettbetrug ist kein Gerücht. Das gibt es tatsächlich." Vor seinem Zweitrunden-Match in Wimbledon gegen den Spanier Rafael Nadal habe man ihn abends auf dem Handy angerufen: ,,Für eine Niederlage könne ich mir Extrageld verdienen." Er habe ,,sofort abgelehnt. Ich will meine Karriere nicht durch so einen Scheiß aufs Spiel setzen." Eschauer erklärte weiter: ,,Es ist kein Einzelfall, dass Spieler Geld für eine Niederlage geboten bekommen. Ich weiß von Spielen, die verkauft worden sind. Es hängen auch Manager mit drin.,, Es gebe, so der Österreicher, ,,eine italienische Organisation und eine aus dem Ostblock."</p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
