<p><strong>Cristiano Ronaldo ist als erster Portugiese zu Englands Fußballer des Jahres gewählt worden und hat damit 2007 als erster Profi alle drei individuellen Auszeichnungen auf der Insel gewonnen.</strong> Der Stürmer von Spitzenklub Manchester United setzte sich bei der Wahl durch die englischen Fußball-Journalisten vor seinen Klubkollegen Ryan Giggs und Paul Scholes durch. Zuvor war der 22-Jährige bereits von seinen Profikollegen in der Premier League zum Spieler des Jahres und zum besten jungen Spieler der Saison gewählt worden.</p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
