-- Tom Ford l`a invins pe Ding Junhui cu 5--3 si`l va intalni pe Barry Pinches

Ding opened superbly with breaks of 76 and 130 to take the first two frames. Ford came back to 2-2 then the Chinese teenager knocked in a 118 to regain the lead. Frod levelled again with a 60 and went on to take the last two.
"I was talking to Mark Selby before the draw was made and we both agreed to worst draw we could get was Ding, so when I saw I was playing him I knew it would be tough"
"It’s the first time I’ve played him and the first time I’ve won a match in the Grand Prix so I’m very pleased. I didn’t feel I played that well and I only had one break over 50, but my safety was very good.

I-am auzit pe comentatori citand o declaratie a lui Ronnie in care acesta spunea ca nu ii mai pasa daca pierde sau castiga,pt. ca s-a plictisit de snooker.

Ma intristeaza asta pt ca Ronnie mai poate sa joace vreo 6 ani minim la nivel maxim si poate sa realizeze niste performante exceptionale cu talentul pe care il are...si el zice ca prefera gradinaritul :(

Da, am ascultat aceasta declaratie pe BBC...
Daca nu mai vrea sa joace snooker...sa joace biliard in SUA..cum a zis ca intentioneaza...
Ii dau dreptate lui Marius Ancuta...care a spus ca nu este bine ce zice si ca atitudinea lui ii dezamageste pe fanii care i-au fost alaturi mereu...fie la meciuri sau in fata TV-ului...
Nu mai vrea sa joace, dar joaca...atunci pt ce o face ?..pt bani ?...daca o face doar pt banii...eu nu mai am de ce sa-l privesc...
Inca este favoritul meu..dar m-am cam saturat si eu si toata lumea de asemenea declaratii...
Inca ceva...imi place snookerul datorita lui Ronnie...pt felul cum joaca...daca el se retrage...interesul meu pt acest sport va scadea drastic...

Inca ceva, este ciudat..cum Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry sau Jimmy White, ultimul cu multe finale de CM pierdute, au reusit sa ramana motivati 10-20 de ani...si inca mai joaca. Steve Davis joca mai mult de placere...sunt sigur, la fel si Jimmy White, care inca mai spera la un titlu de CM. De ce ?...pt ca Ronnie de cand l-a egalat pe Higgins la 2...nu a mai reusit nimic, nici o victorie, nici o lovitura spectaculoasa, nimic. Higgins a reusit 4 break-uri consecutive de 100 de puncte ( 5-103 (103), 0-104 (104), 0-138 (138), 0-128 (128) ) si 491 de puncte consecutive...
Ronnie a dat un semn de revenire in jocul cu nr 11, dar ghinionul l-a impiedicat sa inchida masa si sa reduca din diferenta...
Intrebat de John Parrot, imediat dupa meci, daca inca ii mai place snookerul...Ronnie a raspuns ca "da, sigur ca da"...acum noi ce sa credem ?...
Astazi am vazut cel mai urat joc de snooker practicat de Ronnie O'Sullivan...de 2 ani de cand il urmaresc..

Cat despre Higgins, a fost intr-o forma maxima...nu a ratat nimic...
