El zurdo brasile?o Thomaz Bellucci, número 36 de la ATP, guiado por Larri Passos, exentrenador de Guga Kuerten, apuró a Novak Djokovic hasta límites extremos: 6-4 y 4-2, con break arriba en el segundo set. Devolviendo bolas increíbles, Djokovic, que se había acostado de madrugada tras el partido del viernes con Ferrer, remontó y desgastó a Bellucci para sellar su triunfo consecutivo número 33 (31 en 2011).
