Diego Ruiz fue cuarto en los 1.500 de la Reunión de Stuttgart (Alemania) con un tiempo de 3:38.26. En la misma carrera, Álvaro Rodríguez también rompió la barrera de los 3:40 (3:39.85) siendo séptimo. En 3000, Dolores Checa acabó segunda (8:53.44) sólo rebasada por la keniana Njoroge. En 800, Luis Alberto Marco fue séptimo (1:47.22).
