Tottenham quasi perfetto

Ben Foster (Birmingham), Joe Hart (Man City), David Stockdale (Fulham); Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Bolton), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Michael Dawson (Tottenham), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Joleon Lescott (Man City), John Terry (Chelsea), Kyle Walker (Aston Villa); Gareth Barry (Man City), Stewart Downing (Aston Villa), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Man City), Scott Parker (West Ham), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal), Ashley Young (Aston Villa); Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa), Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Peter Crouch (Tottenham), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd)

"It should be a central 3 of Thudd, Modric and Sandro, flanked by Bale on the left, Lennon on the right, Pav up top.... Don't care about VDV because my club and the results it gets, are far more important than massaging a players ego".

rh99r5K6bOA

Frumoasa echipa are anul asta Tottenham Hotspur .

Ii tin pumnii stransi, galezului. Multa sanatate, Gareth!

Suarez s-a enervat aiurea.

miril
17th May 2011, 14:50
COYS!

17th May 2011, 21:03
Crouch e bunicel in atac, are detenta foarte buna, iar la faze fixe e foarte bun (atac/aparare). Dar are un defect, nu are agilitatea atat de buna. Doar 4 atacanti are Spurs, Obika e prea tanar.

miril
19th May 2011, 10:35

10_koln
19th May 2011, 13:08
Dupa parerea mea, campionatul italian e slab pentru Rossi. Ar fi mai bine sa stea in Spania sau sa vina in Anglia.

miril
19th May 2011, 14:08

MariusMihalache

10_koln
19th May 2011, 15:15

miril
19th May 2011, 16:46

10_koln
19th May 2011, 17:36

miril
22nd May 2011, 11:22

Iata si programul pentru Europa League:

FIXTURES CHANGES - EUROPA LEAGUE

Please also note that our Europa League involvement (as these are mainly Thursday night games) will see our Barclays Premier League matches being moved from Saturday to Sunday as we progress.

We enter the Europa League at the play-off stage in August.

The first leg of our play-off is on Thursday, August 18 with the second leg scheduled for Thursday, August 25.

The draw for the Europa League play-offs is Friday, August 5.

Our Europa League involvement means we are also exempt from the second round of the Carling Cup and enter that competition in the third round.

Uitasem ca daca Spurs va merge in finala, desi ma indoiesc, nu si de valoarea echipei, s-ar putea sa-i vad la...Bucuresti. COYS!

Hearts in Europa League play-off

We have been drawn against Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian in the Europa League play-off.

We will travel to Tynecastle stadium, Edinburgh, for the first leg of the tie on Thursday, August 18.

The return leg is at White Hart Lane on Thursday, August 25.

Third in the SPL last term, Hearts toppled Paksi of Hungary 5-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round, beating them 4-1 at Tynecastle on Thursday night.

That was the first match in charge for new boss Paulo Sergio, the former Sporting Lisbon coach who took over from Jim Jeffries on Tuesday.

The winners of the tie enter the group stage of the Europa League, four groups of 12 teams played on a home and away format.

Keane makes MLS move to Galaxy

The Club can announce that it has reached agreement with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy for the permanent transfer of Robbie Keane.

The Republic of Ireland captain originally joined us from Leeds United in August, 2002 and was part of our 2008 League Cup winning side. He rejoined the Club in February, 2009 after a six-month spell at Liverpool and more recently has spent time on loan with Celtic and West Ham.

We wish him all the best for the future.

Am avut probleme mari cu atacantii anul trecut. E drept, Defoe a fost accidentat mai tot sezonul si s-a recuperat definitiv acum. Crouch conteaza doar in Europa, iar Pav e...Pav. LEWIS MAKES JANUARY MOVE

We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Schalke for the immediate transfer of Lewis Holtby.
The Germany Under-21 captain, who had already agreed terms to join the Club this coming summer, has made 27 appearances for the Bundesliga side this season scoring four times.

Capped on three occasions by the senior German national side, the versatile midfielder joined Schalke in 2009 from Alemannia Aachen and was loaned out to Bochum and Mainz prior to making his breakthrough with the Gelsenkirchen-based club.

Lewis has made 160 appearances in his career to date, scoring 29 times.

Bale, simply The Best!

GARETH WINS PFA DOUBLE

Gareth Bale has been named Young Player and Player of the Year at the Professional Football Association (PFA) Awards on Sunday night.

In doing so, he's become only the third player to lift both awards in the same season following Andy Gray (1976-77, at Villa) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2006-07, at United).

The flying Welshman is also the first Spurs player to win the PFA Player of the Year Award twice, having lifted the prize in 2010-11.

Gareth remains one of only four Spurs players to win the award after Pat Jennings (1975-76), Clive Allen (1986-87) and David Ginola (1998-99).

By winning the Young Player award, Gareth follows in the footsteps of Glenn Hoddle (1979-80) and team-mate Kyle Walker, who won it last year.

To complete a PFA hat-trick, Gareth joined Jan Vertonghen in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Needless to say, Gareth has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 24 goals in all competitions including 19 in 29 appearances in the Premier League.

Gareth Bale and Jan Vertonghen have been named in the Professional Footballers' Association's (PFA) Premier League Team of the Year.

It's the third-successive year Gareth has been named in the PFA team after an oustanding season where he's scored 24 goals in all competitions, including 19 in 29 matches in the Premier League.

Jan's selection is recognition of a fine first season with the club after his switch from Ajax last summer.

Playing both centrally and at left-back, Jan has contributed six goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.

PFA Premier League Team of the Year: De Gea (Manchester United), Zabaleta (Manchester City), Ferdinand (Manchester United), VERTONGHEN (TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR), Baines (Everton), Hazard (Chelsea), Carrick (Manchester United), Mata (Chelsea), BALE (TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR), Suarez (Liverpool), van Persie (Manchester United).

Gareth Bale Did Again!

GARETH WINS FWA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR

Gareth Bale has been named Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers' Association.
In doing so, he becomes only the second player in history to win all three major individual awards in the game, after lifting the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Young Player and Player of the Year titles on Sunday.

Ronaldo first completed that feat during his time at Manchester United in 2006-07.

The FWA Footballer of the Year Award is voted for by members of the Football Writers Association and was first presented to the great Sir Stanley Matthews in the 1947-48 season.

Last year’s winner, Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, was second with Chelsea’s Juan Mata third.

A delighted Gareth said: "It is a huge honour to receive the Footballer of the Year award from the Football Writers’ Association.

"It means a lot to win this award when you consider the number of players that have been outstanding for their clubs in the Barclays Premier League this season.

"I've been very fortunate to be playing in such a fantastic team and I owe a lot to my team-mates and, obviously, the manager who has shown such faith in me.

"This award has been won in the past by some of the greatest names in football and I consider it a privilege that the FWA have selected me to be named alongside them."

It has been a vintage season for Gareth, 23, who has scored 29 goals so far - 24 in 40 appearances for Spurs and five in eight games for Wales. He's bagged 19 in 29 matches in the Premier League.

In a poll that saw a 91 per cent turn-out from the FWA membership, Bale won 53 per cent of the votes ahead of Van Persie.

Andy Dunn, chairman of the FWA and chief sports writer for the Sunday Mirror, said: “In a contest for votes that took so many late twists and turns, Gareth’s penchant for the spectacular captured the imagination.

“He is a player who is rising inexorably towards the rarefied levels of world stars such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Twice the PFA Player of the Year and now, two months before his 24th birthday, the FWA Footballer of the Year.

“Let’s all hope he lights up the Barclays Premier League for many seasons to come.”

SPURS AND THE FWA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Gareth is the eighth Spurs player to lift the FWA award and the Spurs names on the trophy are who's who of Lane legends including double-winning captain Danny Blanchflower, Pat Jennings, Clive Allen and David Ginola.

Gareth joins Clive (1986-87) and David (1998-98) as Spurs players to have lifted both the PFA and FWA awards.

1957-58 - Danny Blanchflower
1972-73 - Pat Jennings
1981-82 - Steve Perryman
1986-87 - Clive Allen
1991-92 - Gary Lineker
1994-95 - Jurgen Klinsmann
1998-99 - David Ginola
2012-13 - Gareth Bale

FWA FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR

It was Charles Buchan, the publisher and writer of Football Monthly as well as one of the founding fathers of the FWA, who suggested that an award should be given “to the professional player who by precept and example is considered by a ballot of members to be the footballer of the year.”

That was back in 1947 and since then the Footballer of the Year Award has become the most prestigious award in the British game.

Thank You, SIR!

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/312572/

COYS! miril

"The one thing that I can say with certainty is the chairman has the club moving in the right direction. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the difficulty of his work and his business decisions might make people sad. But I've seen the growth, first-hand, over seven years. You have to respect that."

''What sort of mercenary stays for seven years?''

"With AVB, if I had a problem with him, I would tell you immediately. If I don't like the guy, I would tell you: "I don't like the guy." But that is not the case. I have no issues with him. So as far as I'm concerned, nothing is afoot. I understand why I have played the number of games that I have played. Everybody is entitled to an opinion but I don't think that anybody has had a conversation with me or with AVB."

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Dear Supporter

We should all have wanted to start today with our fate in our own hands regarding Champions League qualification after what has been a great season and one which has once again seen us qualify for Europe.

Our current tally of 69 points is just one point off our all-time highest total in the Premier League (2009/10) and already equals our total points tally for last season which saw us finish fourth, a measure of how competitive the Premier League remains. A win today will see us achieve our greatest Premier League points tally ever.

We started the season with a new Head Coach and Andre was introduced at our new Training Centre shortly ahead of its opening. It is the fantastic facility we planned, it has received much acclaim and praise from all over the world and it is a stand-out marker of the ambitions we have at this Club. Andre and his coaching team, Steffen Freund, Jose Mario Rocha, Luis Martins, Tony Parks and Daniel Sousa have had a great first season and are now well settled at the Club.

Gareth Bale deserves special mention. He has had a phenomenal season. We were proud to seen him honoured with a clean sweep of all three major player awards - PFA Player of the Year; PFA Young Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year - and Jan Vertonghen was named in the PFA Team of the Year. Gareth is the first to remind anyone who congratulates him that this is a team effort and we have seen some outstanding performances from the First Team.

Tim Sherwood, John McDermott, Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand have led the way with our youth development and we have had notable success in a variety of competitions, indicating the strength and depth we have across the different age groups.

Our Under-21s have certainly had a fantastic season, reaching the Barclays U21 Premier League Final. They play Manchester United tomorrow and we wish them luck. We were delighted to see four of our young players selected for England U21s for this summer’s European U21 Championships - Steven Caulker, Danny Rose, Andros Townsend and Adam Smith.

Our loan system continues to work well in developing our players and this season saw Andros Townsend voted Player of the Year and Danny Rose voted Young Player of the Year for their respective loan clubs, QPR and Sunderland.

Looking ahead to the summer, we shall continue to seek to strengthen and improve the team and to retain key players. We also look forward to the return of Sandro and Younes who were missed this season but who are well on the road to full fitness.

Financial Fair Play (FFP) will hopefully see all clubs follow the kind of financial discipline we have followed as we run our Club on a sound financial basis without the benefit of a larger stadium. Short term cost control measures which limit the amount of increased broadcasting revenues clubs can spend to Ł4m per season and a requirement to break even will have an impact on clubs across Europe.

A large capacity stadium is fundamental to the ability to raise revenue and achieve future growth and success within FFP. Our 36,000 seater stadium has continued to sell out and our waiting list is now in excess of 42,000. Our new stadium plans are progressing and we are applying the same energies to delivering this hugely complex scheme as we did to the delivery of the new Training Centre.

Ledley will be on the pitch at half time after what has been his first full season since his retirement and his first as a Club Ambassador. He has taken to his new role with all the professionalism and presence he displayed throughout his playing career at the Club and we are so very proud to have him represent us in our local community and around the world. He has played an active role both in the regeneration work around the stadium and also with supporters groups domestically and internationally, having recently returned from South Africa and Sweden.

Indeed, one stand out feature of the season has been the growth in our supporter base globally. We have seen a 45% growth in the number of supporter groups and we now host official groups around the world in places such as Camp Bastion, Mumbai, Dallas and Moscow to name but a few of the new destinations. We are also currently adding one new supporter group per week from the States as the po****rity of the game and 'The Spurs' takes off over there. Welcome to you all.

And to all our supporters, whether here today, home or abroad, on behalf of everyone at the Club, thank you. You are what this Club is all about.

I know the Lane will be rocking today with your support for yet another final day of the season, all-important win .

Enjoy the occasion and I wish you and your families a great summer ahead of seeing you here again in August.

Yours

Daniel

The former Bologna, Bari and Pescara player has previously held roles as General Director at Serie A Club Roma, Assistant Manager during Fabio Capello's time in charge of England and as Sporting Director at Real Madrid.

"Franco is extremely well respected in the industry, possessing an extensive knowledge of players around the world," said Chairman Daniel Levy.

The box-to-box midfielder has enjoyed great success since joining Corinthians from Brazilian Serie B side Clube Atlético Bragantino in 2010. He has made a total of 86 league appearances, scoring 20 goals while helping the Sao Paulo-based club to the Brazilian Serie A league championship in 2011 as well as the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup a year later.

His fine performances at club level have also seen him twice named in the Serie A Team of the Year in 2011 and 2012.

The 24-year-old, capped by Brazil 17 times, helped his country to FIFA Confederations Cup success last Sunday with victory against world champions Spain and also scored the equaliser against England in the 2-2 draw at the Maracana last month.

After joining the Club, Paulinho has spoken of his happiness at becoming a Spurs player in an exclusive interview with tottenhamhotspur.com.

The Brazilian international was given a tour of the Training Centre in the summer sunshine and took some time out to reflect on moving to the Premier League from Brazilian club, Corinthians.

"First, I want to thank Tottenham for believing in me," Paulinho said.

"I am very happy and excited to have joined Spurs. It's a huge pleasure for my career to be at a club as big as Tottenham. I know it will be a huge challenge but I think I can help all my colleagues to succeed and give a lot of happiness to the supporters.

"The Training Centre is amazing and I'm very impressed about the conditions Tottenham offers to the players. I will focus on my job and use the facility as much as possible.

"We used to watch the Premier League in Brazil – including Tottenham – and this club has big players. I just want to help them to succeed here. It's nice to have another Brazilian in the squad and I'm excited to meet with Sandro and all the players."

The 24-year-old's arrival was greeted by glorious sunshine and the Confederations Cup winner was quick to claim the credit for bringing some good weather to England!

"I brought the sun with me from Brazil and it's very welcome! I'm excited to live here in England and be successful and happy."
