Nadia Petrova has produced another upset victory to reach the Australian Open quarterfinals, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 against third-ranked Svetlana Kuznetsova. French Open champion Kuznetsova committed too many unforced errors in the deciding set and was broken three times after rallying in the second to level the all-Russian match.
