Samuel Wanjiru, el keniano campeón olímpico de maratón, ataca hoy en Chicago el récord del etíope Haile Gebrselassie (2h 03:59). En Birmingham se disputa el Mundial de medio maratón, que tiene al eritreo Zersenay Tadesse como favorito. Por Espa?a corren Pablo Villalobos, Fernando Rey y Miguel Ángel Gamonal.
