Ichiro Kono, presidente de la candidatura de Tokio a organizar los Juegos de 2016, considera que la "fuerte" valoración hecha por el COI de su proyecto "muestra al mundo por qué Tokio 2016 supondría un enorme beneficio para el Movimiento Olímpico".
