El piloto espa?ol Dani Pedrosa (Honda) marcó el mejor tiempo en la categoría de MotoGP durante la primera sesión de entrenamientos libres del Gran Premio de Indinápolis, duodécima prueba del Mundial, mientras que Nico Terol (Aprilia) logró también el mejor crono en 125cc y Héctor Barberá (Aprilia) fue segundo en 250cc, en una jornada marcada por la incesante lluvia que cayó sobre el circuito estadounidense.
