He's like the Tim Duncan of SG.
More complete player IMO.

Overall, Brandon Roy is better than Melo in individual skills. Roy is a better offensive player, he's so quick at creating his own shot. Roy's 22.6 ppg shooting on .480% is better than Melo's 22.8 on .443%.

However, teams need Melo's big body to clog the lanes and pick up rebounds. Brandon Roy is not tall enough to really do those things. So teamwise, Carmelo Anthony is a better choice for overall team success.

Also, its very rare for teams to be led by a small scoring guard. The Blazers claim he's 6-6, but I don't believe that at all, he looks more like 6-3. When your team's leading scorer is your pg, your not gonna be contending for anything. I've never seen any great NBA team led by a scoring pg.
If you look at the great PGs, they've always been guys like Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Stockton, Magic; true PG's that focus on distributing the ball around as opposed to scoring. When you look at scoring pgs like Tony Parker, Devin Harris, Ben Gordon; they just don't perform at the same level.

IMO , Roy este cel care poate crea , care are o viziune mai de ansamblu asupra unui "play" sau unei anumite situatii de joc!
Melo poate decat sa finalizaze , aporape orice.
Eu il aleg pe Roy deoarece devine clutch decat cand trebuie , in rest este un jucator care doar isi duce treaba la capat .
Defensively nu stiu ce sa zic ...

Artest a declarat in playoffs ca Roy este cel mai dificil jucator pe care la marcat! ... si Ron-Ron este unul dintre cei mai buni defensive SG!
Pe de alta parte ma gandesc ca Melo mai are contracandidati oameni ca LBJ , KD , Hedo etc. Pe Roy il vad (acum) doar sub Kobe si DWade !

Nu la momentul asta. Roy mi se pare printre cei mai underrated NBA stars, in seria cu Rockets pur si simplu he burned them, dar asta a fost si din cauza lui Artest si Battier care sunt foarte slabi in aparare cu jucatorii care patrund foarte mult.
