Lance Armstrong, tras confirmar que correrá el Giro, mantiene dudas sobre si será invitado al Tour, según dijo a La Gazzetta. "Iré al Giro para intentar ganar, porque quizás sea la única carrera de tres semanas que dispute. A día de hoy, hay muchas dudas sobre el Tour. Antes de anunciar mi retorno, contacté con los organizadores, pero no han contestado. Encontraría increíble que no me invitaran". Donde puede correr Armstrong es en Castilla y León, junto a Contador y Sastre.
