El piloto italiano Marco Simoncelli (Gilera) logró la ''pole position'' provisional del Gran Premio de Alemania en su categoría de 250cc, después de imponerse en el asfalto de Sachsenring al espa?ol Héctor Barberá (Aprilia), segundo, y al finés Mika Kallio (KTM), tercero.
