El piloto espa?ol Pol Espargaró (Derbi) consiguió la primera ''pole position'' de su trayectoria deportiva al ser el más rápido (1:50.557) en los entrenamientos oficiales de la categoría de 125cc del Gran Premio de Catalunya, séptima prueba puntuable para el Mundial de motociclismo.
