Veteran Austrian skier Hans Knauss could be disqualified for up to two years if found guilty of doping, International Ski Federation president Gian Franco Kasper said Saturday.

Knauss announced Friday that he had tested positive for the steroid nandrolone after his fourth-place finish in a World Cup downhill in Lake Louise, Alta., on Nov. 27.
