<p><strong>Pierrick Fedrigo hat die erste Alpenetappe der 53. Tour de France gewonnen. </strong>Der Franzose vom Bouygues-Team setzte sich auf dem 14. Teilstück nach 180,5 km von Montelimar nach Gap im Schlußspurt vor dem Italiener Salvatore Commesso (Lampre) durch. Das am Vortag eroberte Gelbe Trikot des Spitzenreiters in der Gesamtwertung verteidigte der Spanier Oscar Pereiro (Illes Balears). Im Grünen Trikot fährt weiter Robbie McEwen (Lotto) aus Australien, bester Nachwuchsfahrer im weißen Jersey blieb Markus Fothen (Gerolsteiner).
