Late substitute Kirsten Flipkens beat veteran Jill Craybas 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday to give Belgium a 1-0 lead over the United States in the Fed Cup semifinal. U.S. Open champion Kim Clijsters plays Jamea Jackson, ranked 67th in the world, later Saturday. Clijsters, with a No. 2 ranking, is the only top 50 player in the semifinal after both teams were hit by injury and withdrawals.
