<p><strong>Der Franzose Sylvain Calzati (27) hat die achte Etappe der Tour de France über 181 km von Saint-Meen-le-Grand nach Lorient in der Bretagne gewonnen. </strong>Der Rad-Star aus dem Team AG2R setzte sich als Solist in 4:13:18 Stunden durch. Der Ukrainer Sergej Gontschar (T-Mobile), der durch den Sieg im Zeitfahren am Samstag das Gelbe Trikot übernommen hatte, verteidigte die Führung von einer Minute vor Phonak-Kapitän Floyd Landis (USA).
