<p><strong>Oscar Freire (30, Team Rabobank, Foto)) hat die fünfte Etappe der Tour de France über 225 km von Beauvais nach Caen gewonnen. </strong>Der Spanier setzte sich nach 5:18:50 Stunden im Massensprint vor Belgiens Weltmeister Tom Boonen und dem Spanier Inaki Isasi durch. David Kopp (Gerolsteiner) wurde Vierter, Erik Zabel (Milram) Neunter. Für Freire war es der zweite Tour-Etappensieg nach 2002. Quickstep-Kapitän Tom Boonen verteidigte das Gelbe Trikot. Der Deutsche Markus Fothen (Gerolsteiner) trägt weiter das Weiße Trikot des besten Jungprofis. </p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; ">
