<p><strong>Regina Halmich hat ihre Boxkarriere mit dem erwarteten Sieg beendet. </strong>Die 31 Jahre alte Karlsruherin verteidigte unter dem Jubel von 7500 Fans in ihrer Heimatstadt ihren WM-Titel des Verbandes WIBF im Federgewicht gegen Hagar Shmoulefeld Finer (Israel) erfolgreich. Anschließend trat Halmich wie angekündigt vom Profisport zurück. Halmich bezwang ihre Gegnerin nach einem offenen Schlagabtausch nach zehn Runden nach Punkten. Sie feierte damit ihren 54. Sieg im 56.
