<p><strong>US-Baseballstar Barry Bonds wurde am Donnerstag wegen Meineids angeklagt und muss im Überführungsfall mit einer Gefängnisstrafe bis zu 30 Jahren rechnen. </strong>Laut Staatsanwaltschaft tauchten im Verlauf der Untersuchungen positive Dopingproben des 43-Jährigen auf. Bonds muss am 7. Dezember vor Gericht erscheinen. Der Name Bonds wurde in der Dopingszene erstmals im Jahre 2002 im Rahmen des Balco-Skandals publik.
