Named in honor of seven-foot-seven basketball and entertainment legend Gheorghe Muresan (Washington Bullets, My Giant, Snickers and ESPN ads, et al), the Gheorghies will unveil dozens of nominees in 15 categories over three days. Your votes will determine the winners, which will be announced next week. The envelopes, please."

Nu vad care e faza...lol Michael Bradley de la Dallas are 7 foot 6 deci vreo 2.5 cm mai scund ca Muresan si de el nu zice nimeni nimic :) Poate il baga si pe el in vreun film.

Si de unde o sa scoata 15 categorii? :D

Vara trecuta am venit cu el in avion din NY in Tm. Statea saracul aplecat si pe culoarul avionului. Macar atita recompensa sa aiba din NBA, ca statisticile... :D

Nu pot sa spun ca sta in NY, dar Taromul pleca numai din NY anul trecut. Ultima data am auzit ca a fost la Timisoara in weekendul trecut la meciul Elba-Sibiu, cica sa descopere talente!

Dada, si eu am auzit ca Ghita a fost la Timisoara-Sibiu. A mai fost vazut si in tur la unele meciuri din Cluj :P

Oricum, intre timp a ajuns manager la nationala. Poate organizeaza un meci intre cei mai buni jucatori din NBA si cei mai buni din divizia A :D

P.S. Shawn Bradley de la Dallas are doar 2,28 - cu 4 cm mai putin decat Big Ghitza :D

LOL. Pai da ma, ca Ghitza a fost cel mai inalt jucator din NBA alaturi de Manute Bol (mi se pare ca ala avea 7'8).

When the Washington Bullets selected Muresan with the 30th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft, he was not the tallest player ever taken. That distinction went to 7-foot-8 Yasutak Okayamo of the University of Osaka, who was picked by the Golden State Warriors in 1981 but never played in the NBA. Muresan and Manute Bol, both listed at 7-foot-7, are the tallest players ever to suit up for an NBA team.
