El piloto espa?ol Marc Coma se impuso en la tercera etapa del UAE Desert Challenge, última prueba de la Copa del Mundo de ''raids'' y que sirve de preparación para el Dakar 2008, y se mantiene como líder en motos, mientras que en coches el francés Stephane Peterhansel (Mitsubishi) se llevó una etapa, que posibilitó el ascenso de su compa?ero y compatriota Luc Alphand a lo más alto de la general, donde Carlos Sainz es tercero tras firmar el mismo puesto.
