<p><strong>Die Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) führt die Relegationsspiele wieder ein. </strong>Ab der kommenden Saison bestreiten der Drittletzte der ersten Liga und der Dritte der zweiten Liga zwei Entscheidungsspiele um einen Platz in der höheren Spielklasse. Dieselbe Regelung gilt für die zweite und die eingleisige dritte Liga, die in der kommenden Saison gegründet wird. Das gab die DFL-Spitze im Anschluss an die Mitgliederversammlung der 36 Profiklubs in Frankfurt/Main bekannt. Zuletzt hatte es 1991 Relegationsspiele zwischen der 1. und 2.
