<p><strong>Tour-de-France-Sieger Alberto Contador wird am 30.September nicht bei der Straßen-WM in Stuttgart an den Start gehen.</strong> Das erklärte der spanische Nationalcoach Paco Antequera in einem Interview der spanischen Regionalzeitung Verdad de Murcia. Da der 24 Jahre alte Radprofi Contador nach dem Rückzug seines Sponsors Discovery Channel noch kein Team für die kommende Saison hat, sei er mental nicht bereit für den Wettkampf, meinte Antequera. Contador wurde auch mit dem Doping-Arzt Eufemiano Fuentes in Verbindung gebracht, leugnete aber stets jede Verwicklung.</p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
