<p><strong>Die neue deutsche Tennis-Garde hat das Duell der Rekordsieger beim World Team Cup gegen Spanien verpatzt. </strong>Schon nach den beiden Einzel-Niederlagen von Philipp Kohlschreiber und Florian Mayer stand in Düsseldorf die erste Pleite am zweiten Spieltag der Blauen Gruppe für die ohne Thomas Haas und Nicolas Kiefer angetretene Mannschaft von Kapitän Patrik Kühnen fest. Kohlschreiber unterlag dem starken David Ferrer mit 3:6, 5:7; Mayer musste sich trotz gleichfalls mutigen Kampfes und Breakführung in beiden Sätzen Nicolas Almagro mit 4:6, 4:6 geschlagen geben.</p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
