Germany striker Lukas Podolski is set to be sidelined for six months after knee surgery, dealing a big blow to his club side Bayern Munich's hopes of securing a Champions League spot next season.Podolski, voted best young player at last year's World Cup, will also miss Germany's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Slovakia and San Marino.
