<p><strong>Der italienische Radstar Ivan Basso (29, Foto) ist von seinem Team Discovery Channel suspendiert worden.</strong> Zuvor hatte der Anti-Doping-Staatsanwalt von Italiens Olympiaverband CONI die Ermittlungen gegen den Giro-Sieger wieder aufgenommen. Basso ist wie Jan Ullrich in den spanischen Doping-Skandal Fuentes verwickelt und musste deswegen das dänische Team CSC verlassen. Im November 2006 hatte er einen Zweijahresvertrag beim Team des siebenmaligen Tour-de-France-Siegers Lance Armstrong unterschrieben. </p><div style="margin: 5px 0 5px 0; font: 10px arial; color: #999; clear: both;">
