Well-known figure skater Alexei Yagudin will play the role of Vladimir Putin in the play "Holidays of the President," the premier which takes place on the theater stage July 2nd. (the article notes they may have to change the title of the play due to the recent change in Putin's title)
All events of the play are about the havoc on the Siberian taiga new settlement, where the will of fate finds Vladimir Putin in the company of a well-known American writer who writes a book about the President of Russia.
The engine of the presidential helicopter malfunctions during the circling of the taiga territories, and the helicopter accomplishes a forced landing in the Siberian taiga. The President is torn away from the entire world and for several weeks lives among the taiga aborigines.
- We wanted to show Putin among the simple people - a man who in an extreme situation does not lose feelings of composure, and with characteristic determination and keenness withstood all tests which for dare-devils would be sufficient less than a hundred, continues Igor Kositsyn.
The subject of the play is developed unconstrainedly and gaily, and everything concludes well. At the end of the two-hour play, the President flies away but promises to return.
